• Contract value at US $1.5 million (approx. Rs. 6.5 crore)

New Delhi, May 12, 2005: MatrixOne India, a Scandent Solutions subsidiary, announced that Ashok Leyland Limited, India’s leading transport solutions company, has chosen its product suite to provide an end-to-end PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solution for the company. The value of the contract for both MatrixOne licenses and Implementation services is US$ 1.5 million and the implementation would be done by teams from Scandent and Ashok Leyland.

For Ashok Leyland, the PLM implementation will help streamline the hand-offs in its manufacturing processes that pertain to customer, new product and application development, supplier relationship management and strategic sourcing. The solution is intended to significantly reduce its vehicle development time and improve operating margins.
